Ideology

  • The world default mindset is authoritarian in nature.
  • Transmitted behavior, actions, and processes from parent to child are ingrained and invoked throughout the child’s life well into adulthood.
  • Society as a cohort can be defined as just parents i.e. characteristics influenced by mindsets instilled by previous generations of “parents” manifest as our society.
  • The child acts sole in reference to society / parents with little to no deviance from the institutions and consumption practices of previous generations.

It is imperative that we alter the status quo definitions of children so we can have a new world filled with people and their children that have a definition of success, wealth, and living that allows for every action to be considered in the context of and referent to an original life. It is too ingrained to be done in today’s institutionalized global default mindset. So, we call for it to be in a new paradigm where parents live in an outdated society but are not referent to it by allowing themselves the freedom to parent in a way that breathes life into their kids’ natural innate abilities and choices on a level that speaks with children not to them.

This is a call for academics, policy makers, governments and parents to look beyond this paradigm. It is not a matter of if the world will continue to turn in its authoritarian nudging but when will it stop and the disheartening fact about learning more is that the people with the access to the data, influence, and scope are determined to let the days pass by whilst keeping a strong hold on the power to make a difference. The power in maintaining the conservative nature of expression where real world thought and intuition are seen as inhibitors. A child’s loss of creativity and self are viewed as “externalities”, external variables that should have little influence on policies and institutions that make the world go round. The power and prestige are relative and the people who benefit are the ones who have a passionate personal investment in maintaining control of a production line that pumps out fearful, insecure, anxiety-ridden, and chauvinistic consumption robots that are provided with just enough marginal energy (capital) to disregard the inferno background they are creating until their last dollar flakes up into ash. Academic jargon is unnecessary in this plea as it pertains to everyone who opens their eyes in the morning, feels the emptiness, and hears despair around them. If you are in a developed country, we would assume you could understand the sentiments in developing nations are even more dispiriting.

We are not asking for nor providing a transcendental solution for our planet, and the complexities of explanatory variables make sure of that. However, we are asking each citizen to take a step back and give yourself permission to ask two questions “Why do I do what I do?” and “What are the characteristics of the things that I strive for i.e. what am I looking to get out of succeeding?”; exhaustive understanding of the answers to these questions is absolutely necessary before procreating. Children today are seen as a commodity with the purpose of the “purchase” being to have an organic and tangible representation of the parents’ take on the default world mindset; where the devaluation of expression from parents causes a spiteful search for achievement by the child with their “own” default world mindset ironically continuing the cycle of conformity and unoriginal thought. Parental and societal forces are unrelenting before having children and become nearly inescapable after having kids. Institutional change can only be brought about if agreed upon on the individual level and so there is an innate duty to find your original choice and thought. If everyone reading this truly searches for the answer, we are certain the people of the world that would like to have choice, absolutely would.
