We are people witnessing a structured traditional development system (education, society, institutions, etc.) that is hell bent on producing the consumers they want with zero regard to the people that we need. This is a crisis and so we would like to begin mitigating the problem with a solution based in stories and posts that can provide a different perspective of children.
We are adults that have decided not to pretend that we forgot what it means to be a kid. We are choosing to stop the devaluing cycle of a child’s pure nature that leads to young adults who become entrenched in the societal ladder climbing of unnecessary proving and spirit crushing; unprepared to love themselves because what has been ingrained for years is that love comes from external sources. This is a cycle that leads to forty somethings being always only a couple of years away from completing their societal “debts” and finally being able to reap the “rewards” of hard work and experience. We have decided to pursue this cycle no longer and from the shallow depths of the nearly evaporated pools of eroded choice and drained passion, we have put together these stories and posts as an act of defiance towards the global default world mindset. To define our raising of children under today’s institutions a crisis that must be discussed.
